According to the new government order, the standard as per norms of building and playground for recognition of Primary Level School are given below.
Classrooms:(5 Nos.) 180 Sqft.Each
A Primary Level School requires a total of 5 classrooms, each with an area of 180 square feet.
Note: 9 square feet of area is required per student, so this classroom is for 20 students.
Staff Room: (1 Nos.) 150 sq ft
For recognition of a Primary Level School, one staff room is required, which should be 150 sq ft in size.
Principal’s Office: (1 No.) 150 sq ft
For recognition of a Primary Level School, one principal’s office is required, which should be 150 sq ft in size.
Optional Room: 1 No. (400 square feet)
An Optional room with an area of 400 square feet is required for other academic activities.
Library: 1 nos (150 sq ft)
A library measuring 150 sq ft is also required to house all the school’s books and important papers.
So, in this way, total 9 rooms are required for recognition of primary school.
Playground for Primary School Level:
Urban Area: A playground of 500 square meters is required for urban areas.
Rural Area: A playground of 1000 square meters is required for rural areas.
Road Standard:
At least 30 feet wide road is required in front of the school.
Total land required:
Rural Area – 81 decimals of land is required for primary and upper primary schools in rural areas.
Urban Area: 41 decimals of land is required for primary and upper primary schools in urban areas.
Toilet Standard:
For primary school recognition, the following are required:
